Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A warm front extending from Tampa, Florida 
southwestward to 26N86W will lift northward through Wed. A 
trough extending from 29N87W to 23N88W will weaken as it moves 
westward through late Wed night. Scattered showers and isolated 
thunderstorms will be associated with this feature. Meanwhile, 
high pressure over the lower Mississippi Valley will shift 
eastward to the Carolinas and dominate the Gulf waters through 
Thu producing mainly an easterly wind flow. A strong 1090cold 
front is forecast to move into the northwest Gulf early on Fri, 
and reach from Sarasota, Florida to near 24N89W to 23N95W and to 
the far west-central Gulf by late Fri night. This cold front 
will reach from near the Florida Keys to along the northern 
Yucatan Peninsula and to the SW Gulf by early on Sat evening. It 
will be followed by fresh to strong northerly winds and building 
seas. Northerly winds to near gale force are possible along and 
near the coast of Veracruz on Sat and early on Sat evening.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front extends from near 30N65W to 27N70W and 
to 28N77W, where it becomes a warm front to inland Florida near 
Cape Canaveral. The cold front will become stationary late 
tonight or early Tue. It will begin to lift northward as warm 
front on Tue and Tue night while dissipating. Large long-period 
northeast swell located to the northeast of the Bahamas will 
subside through early on Tue. A weak trough extending along 69W 
from 27N to 23N will continue to weaken as it tracks westward 
across the waters east of the Bahamas through Thu night before 
it loses its identity. Another trough just east of the area and 
north of 23N will also track westward across the same waters 
through Thu evening and reach the Bahamas late Thu night into 
Fri while it weakens. A strong cold front will off the southeast 
U.S. coast and over the far northwest forecast waters on Fri, 
and reach from near 31N67W to 28N70W and to Florida Keys and 
Straits of Florida by early on Sat evening. It will be followed 
by increasing winds and building seas, mainly north and 
northeast of the Bahamas.
