Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure over the southeastern United States
will support moderate to fresh northeast to east winds into the
weekend. Recently developed Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine
currently over the southeastern Bahamas will track northwestward
toward the Florida peninsula through the end of the week. The
gradient between the cyclone and the high pressure will allow
for east winds to increase over the far NE winds Gulf Fri night
into Sat along with building seas. Scattered showers and
thunderstorms may spread westward from the Florida peninsula to
the eastern Gulf from Fri through Sun.

.FRI...NE to E winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft. Scattered
showers.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine near 23.9N 74.7W 
1009 mb at 11 PM EDT is moving NW at 7 kt. Maximum sustained 
winds 25 kt gusts 35 kt. Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine will 
move to near 24.6N 75.6W Fri morning with maximum sustained 
winds 30 kt gusts to 40 kt, to near 25.5N 77.2W Fri evening. 
then intensify to a tropical cyclone near 26.5N 78.8W early Sat 
with maximum sustained winds 40 kt gusts to 50 kt. Potential 
Tropical Cyclone Nine is forecast to intensify slightly as it 
reaches to near 27.5N 80.2W Sat evening and move to just near 
28.8N 81.2W by early Sun, reach to near 29.8N 81.8W Sun evening 
while weakening. The cyclone is forecast to track northeastward 
early next week back over the waters just northwest of the area. 
A strong tropical wave may approach the waters S of 22N early 
next week.

.FRI...TROPICAL STORM CONDITIONS POSSIBLE. N to NE winds 20 to
25 kt S of 27N, and NE to E 25 to 30 kt N of 27N. Seas 3 to 7 ft.
Scattered showers. 
.FRI NIGHT...TROPICAL STORM CONDITIONS EXPECTED. N of 29N W of
79W, NE to E winds 20 to 25 kt. Elsewhere, NE to E winds 25 to
30 kt, becoming E 35 to 40 kt late. Seas 6 to 9 ft, building to
9 to 14 ft late. Numerous squalls and thunderstorms.
.SAT...TROPICAL STORM CONDITIONS EXPECTED. S to SW winds 30 to
40 kt S of 27N, becoming SE to S 20 to 25 kt in the afternoon.
S of 27N, seas 9 to 14 ft, subsiding to 6 to 9 ft in the 
afternoon. W of 79W, S to SE winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft.
N of 27N W of 79W, NE to E winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 6 to 9 ft, 
Elsewhere N of 27N, E to SE winds 30 to 40 kt. Seas 9 to 14 ft.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms.
