Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A trough extends down the Florida peninsula to
1006 mb low pressure over the western Straits of Florida will
weaken as they move into the NW Gulf through Fri night, allowing
associated strong winds and seas over the NE and N central Gulf
to diminish. T.S. Nate in western Caribbean near 14.9N 84.3W at
5 PM EDT is forecast to move into the southern Gulf Fri night
near 22.3N 87.9W, reaching 25.6N 89.5W as a hurricane Sat
afternoon, then inland near 31.5N 89.5W Sun afternoon. More
tranquil marine conditions are expected early next week in the
wake of the system.

.SYNOPSIS...Strong high pres N of the area will continue to 
support fresh to strong NE to E flow W of 75W tonight. Winds 
will diminish across the basin thereafter as the pressure 
gradient significantly relaxes, with much more tranquil marine 
conditions this weekend into early next week.
