Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A weak cold front will stall along 27N through early
Sat. Strengthening high pressure will build S across the
northern Gulf waters late in the weekend with locally strong NE
flow across the NE waters on Mon and Tue. A thermal trough will
develop each evening over the NW Yucatan Peninsula, move W
overnight, and merge into a broad area of persistent low
pressure over the SW Gulf waters.

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front will move into the northern waters Sat
where it will stall this weekend. Surface low pres may develop
between the western Bahamas and Florida early this weekend,
possibly becoming a tropical cyclone. The low will drift NE
through Sat evening, shifting back to the SW-W through Sun.
Strong NE winds will develop NW of the low pres and behind the
front.

.TODAY...SE to S winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and SE 10 to 15 kt N
of 27N. S of 27N, seas 2 ft or less, building to 3 ft in the
afternoon. N of 27N, seas 3 to 5 ft. Scattered showers and
isolated thunderstorms.
