Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A thermal trough will develop each evening over the
NW Yucatan Peninsula, move WNW across the SW Gulf overnight and
dissipate over the SW Gulf waters by late each morning. High
pressure will remain over the northern waters through Thursday. 

.TODAY...NE to E winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. Scattered 
showers and isolated thunderstorms. 
.TONIGHT...E winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less. Scattered 
showers and isolated thunderstorms. 
.MON...E to SE winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.  Scattered 
showers and isolated thunderstorms.

.SYNOPSIS...Hurricane Maria centered near 27.9N 72.7W 948 mb at 
5 AM EDT is moving N or 355 degrees at 8 kt. Maximum sustained 
winds are 95 kt with gusts to 150 kt. Maria is forecast to
maintain intensity as it reaches near 28.9N 72.8W early this 
afternoon, to near 30.1N 73.0W late tonight, and weaken a little
as it reaches near 31.2N 73.1W by early Monday afternoon. Maria 
will continue to weaken as it reaches near 32.1N 73.2W late Monday
night, with maximum sustained winds 85 kt gusts to 105 kt and 
continue to further weaken as it reaches N of the area near 34.0N 
73.5W late Tuesday night with maximum sustained winds 75 kt gusts 
to 90 kt. A trough will extend SW from the N-central waters to the
Central Bahamas in the wake of Maria through Wednesday night, and
become diffuse on Thursday as central Atlantic high pressure 
builds westward across the eastern portion of the area.

of 27N. Seas 7 to 10 ft in NE to E swell. Scattered showers and
